Topic: Briefly share what topic you will cover.
Thesis: Compose a clear “I think…., [note comma here] because….” statement.
Do include the comma before the word “because.” When you do not do this, the tendency is to pack in too much at the end of the sentence. All of your analysis claims are based on this part/clause of the sentence, so it aids thinking to make it distinct with the comma.
Bibliography: Have at least 5 academic sources presented in proper MLA or APA format. You may include 2 sources from class. Find articles on a data base. If you do a google books web search, make sure the publisher is an academic press.
