Week 2 – Discussion 1Report TrendsFor decades, researchers have been attempting to identify trends by evaluating reports and statistics that capture changes in crime and victimization rates. These trends or patterns indicate connections between the attributes of victims and the frequency with which they are the target of criminal acts. Provide a detailed analysis of a trend in violent victimization that became evident during the late 1990s. Identify possible explanation for the trend and how this particular trend has affected American society. Is this trend consistent among other countries and cultures? Analyze and outline the reasons as to why or why not. Identify how law enforcement officials and policy makers have responded to this documented trend. Posts should be at least 300 words.
