ENG101 Louisiana Delta College H Jackson Brown Jr Proverb Analysis Paper
1) Research and choose a proverb or aphorism from your textbook, the Bible, Benjamin Franklin, Confucius or Marcus Aurelius, or some other famous person and choose a story from your own life that either supports or contradicts that proverb. For example, Confucius said, “Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.” Put your proverb at the start of the paper above or in the first paragraph.
2) Your essay needs a title, be single spaced with one line between each paragraph, carefully edited five paragraphs, with a clear thesis in the first paragraph.

4) Remember that a narrative essay focuses on ONE event, not many events, not on months or years. Don’t let your narrative become a sermon! Do not preach. This is a personal reflection of how a proverb applies to something specific in your life. No works cited is needed for this!
