With this discussion board I want us to think broadly about culture by identifying the ways that cultures are increasing impacted by globalization. As usual, I want you to apply the ideas you’re learning from sociology to your own lives and the wider society you live in.

For this board please do the following:

1. Re-read the section of the assigned reading on “Transcultural Diffusion.”
2. Write up a post where you identify a recent example of a foreign cultural product (whether material or non-material) making an impact on your culture (however you define that). Do not use the examples from the textbook itself.
3. Review and comment on the posts of your classmates with the goal of strengthening our understanding of globalization and transcultural diffusion.
