-Literature offers an individual the ability to expand their mind. Literature becomes alive. It paints a picture of the writer’s words in the reader’s mind. “When you allow reading to unlock your imagination, your connection also setsthe stage for intellectual engagement. It allows the experience of reading literature to include the pursuit of ideasand knowledge” (Clugston, 2014).

-In the earlier eras one could only read off paper different literature. Nowadays, technology is continuing to advance to where one is able to read from their tablets, computers, listen to the audio from literature or even watch it on film.

-Yes, I feel that Clugston’s quote is valid; perceptions regarding the value of literature has changed. Before I someone couldn’t read, they had to have someone read to them or not know about the literature at all. With technology today, a person doesn’t have to necessarily know how to read. Young toddlers, for example, can now can experience literature through audio. If someone doesn’t care to read or be read to, they can watch a literature in theater or on film. There is so many various ways that literature can be experienced.

-I feel that one’s emotions play causes people’s perceptions regarding the value of literature to change. The way a person views a certain type of literature is based on how they feel. They can either like or dislike the way literature is provided. Some people like reading, others like listening, and/or watching. It all depends on the person at hand.

It offers the individual the significance of common human experiences in your life. Literature gives the individual feelings and emotions.

The way I think it has changed from the past to now, is back in the day there were no computers to help us find things to read. They only had newspapers. Now days you can get the news on your cell phone. You can get everything you need to know on a computer.

I think we read better now than back in the day. We have a better learning system now and school teachers that teach us how to read.

Yes I think clugston’s quote is valid. It has a powerful curiosity about human relationships and how to cope in the world.

·I think everybody is different and some don’t want to read literature and there are some that do. Everybody is different in their own way when it comes to literature.

I think everybody has their own reasons not to read literature. My reason not to read it is because I have dyslexia and the words move on me and I get really frustrated and mad. It is really hard on me. when I read, my mind likes to wonder somewhere else.
