Please read the following ethical scenario.
Sally has prepared a persuasive speech on the importance of water quality in Iowa for her persuasion speech. She is giving the speech right after spring break. During spring break Sally travels to California and takes pictures of some rivers in a public park. While putting together her PowerPoint for her speech it occurs to Sally that due to the snow she cannot get the pictures she wants of the Cedar River that runs through Northeast Iowa. Instead, she inserts her photos from the rivers from California. Sally acknowledges that she took the pictures. However, she never explicitly states that the rivers are from California and not Iowa. Sally never says the photos are of the Cedar River. However, it may be easily implied that they are Iowa rivers. Has Sally crossed an ethical line in her speech? Why or why not?
