The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College Media Bias Questions
Does it matter if media sources have a bias if there are alternative views found throughout the media? In other words, does it matter that FOX News is a conservative network and often promotes a conservative point of view and MSNBC is a liberal network and promotes a liberal point of view? Why or why not? Since bias does exist in the media and this bias can lead to misinformation, does the government have a responsibility to make policy to regulate what is reported by the media and how it is reported? Why or why not?
