In order to get a hands-on experience concerning the impact of physical aging, have students interview four family members, friends, or work colleagues/acquaintances from the following: 35-45 years old, 45-55 years old, 55-65 years old, and someone 66 or older, and ask them to respond to the following questions:
- On a scale from 1 (worst) to 10 (best), how would you rate your overall physical ability?
- Compared to your young adult years, in what area have you experienced the most significant physical decline?
- Compared to your young adult years, in what area have you experienced the least amount of physical decline?
- Is there any type of physical activity that you perform better now than when you were younger?
