SLU Personal and Professional Stressors for Police Officers Dicussion
In this first week we will be looking at the behavioral and psychological issues relevant to police officers in the course of their duties including the use of investigative techniques. Eyewitness accounts are an important part of the investigative process (not the trial process…this is not about eyewitness testimony, however some of the issues may be the same. Keep focus on the process of the issues of the eyewitness that impact accuracy such as memory, lighting, etc.), yet there has been some research that suggests this is not valid. We will be looking at this issue in depth. We will also look at the stressors experienced by Police Officers.
