About the event that shaped my decision to go to college; i made this decision in High school because i know the only way i can achieve my dream of becoming an Engineer is to attend college because it provides me with an advantage in the field of Engineering. My mum suggested i study to become an electrical engineer because i enjoyed everything pertaining to innovations and technology. I am seeking scholarship support because my mum is a single parent and doesn’t make enough money to send m and my 3 brothers to college. I believe receiving scholarship support will greatly impact my academic performance and ability to obtain a degree because then i would be able to focus on school and not have to work numerous jobs to buy my textbooks and school materials. My future academic and career goals is to transfer to a four year institution for my bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and after that pursue a graduate degree to further broaden my knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.
