I will give the basic idea: just use the first part of the movie(From 18:00~35:00) It’s a town celebration then turns to the murder. Think why we need to use the celebration and and how does this part talk about Lincoln. (a small town to a big town). Usually the celebration is at the end of the movie? Why this film put at the first part? What did the murder give us? A new Lincoln?? How Lincoln developed through these sequences??? Then you need to relate to Bordwell’s idea.
