Diversity in Cinema, film homework help

Research:

1.- Browse the web and find an article (from 2015 to present, the date needs to be visible on the article) about Diversity in American Cinema, expressing how minorities are represented in movies – only theatrical releases of feature films qualify. We are looking for minorities as a group -not just one person- in behind the camera positions (directors, producers, writers, editors, cinematographers, etc.) as well as characters in movies. Articles on biographies, interviews, a single person, etc. do NOT qualify. (For example, an interview with Spike Lee will not qualify for two reasons: 1) it is an interview, and 2) it is only about one person).

The minority groups we are interested on are: Native-American, African-American, Asians, Latinos, Women, LGBT, and people with disabilities.

Your article could be about a topic similar to these SAMPLES: Has it been an increase in the number of African-American producers of feature films?, How are Asian characters depicted in film?, How do film writers address Gay (LGBT) issues differently from the way they used to a few years back?, How are Women represented in behind the camera creative or technical positions?, What type of characters are leading roles for Latinos in movies?

2.- Post the URL (www. (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. …) – the link to the article – I may need to read it.

3.- Write a summary of the article IN YOUR OWN WORDS (less than 250 words), no cutting and pasting from the article, and tell us about the main ideas in the article.

4.- Answer ALL following questions:

4.1.-Why you agree and/or why you disagree with the article
