Organized crime is present in most countries in the world. Organized Crime groups in the US, differ from those in Japan and Russia as was discussed in your text.
Do these organized crime groups serve a societal function in the US, Japan and Russia? If so, how? Can we ever be rid of organized crime groups? If so, how? If not, why not?
